really? no way! man, thats awsome. btw, do you have a tablet? i have one and i was wondering if you could give me a few settings i should use for different things, such as for coloring rocks, what should the opacity be or should opacity jitters be on the brush im using, etc. man, i just get so hyped when i see your colorings.
Yupyup, I use a Wacom tablet to do all of my stuff~
Well, for jitters, I always keep smoothing on. When I color BGs, I usually move the size jitter up a little (20%~30%) for clouds and the like. When I'm painting broadly (colors in the sky, soft clouds) I tend to turn off the size jitter altogether.
Whenever I color grass, trees or clouds, I tend to have the opacity and flow jitters turned on to pressure. This helps out especially when you're doing clouds and want to add many shades and texture to them. For the rocks in this particular pic, I kept those two jitters off for the most part to get hard edges. For the touches at the end, I turned them on and softly pressed up some of the edges to give the shading more depth~
Whew~ Hope that helped. I'm still learning lots about Photoshop, myself, so hopefully I'll know a lot more in the future. ^^
specially the cliff .. its awesome !
That is, creating a flat solid green layer, locking it, and then slowly adding deeper shades of darker green/blue green and lighter green over top. ^^
You can see the tree painting process here: [link]
